Coir Pots

Coir fibre with or without latex is moulded into different shapes to produce coir pots. While the common shape being the round, square shape pots are also available. We produce many categories of coir pots ranging from thick/thin wall pots, pots with rim and lip, oval shape pots, decorative pots, small seedling pots up to bulky coir pots for large plants

The coir pot is popular in nurseries, it improves the efficiency of the transplanting without exposing the plant to the root shock. The damage done to the plant in replanting is virtually zero. Replanting labor cost too is less as the plant need not to remove from the pot, but a matter of place the plant in a hole.

The best substitute for plastic pots due to the environment friendliness, better growth of the plants due to the better root aeration, fast plant growth ensures less fertilizer consumption. As the plants grow bigger the pot will be a part of the nature saving the disposable cost or recycling cost.

Weed Control Mats

Needled coir fibre with or without latex is used to produce a coir sheet with a thickness of 3mm-8mm. The coir sheet is cut in different shapes such as rounds, squares and decorative shapes such as ovals.
Due to the adequate density of coir sheet, it suppresses the growth of weeds and prevents the ground being dried out. Also helps to control the soil erosion if the plant is grown in the top soil. The rain, dew and humidity forces the coir mat to mould to the ground to protect the plant. The mat has centre cut out and a radial slit for easy installation.

The weed control mats retain moisture around the roots, save water as the mat cover the sunlight allowing less water to evaporate, minimizes fertilizer consumption due to no weeds, gives an attractive appearance, multi colored weed mats are available in attractive shapes

Plant Guards / Shelters

A sheet of Needled coir fibre with latex is folded in to a box shape without a top and a bottom is used to guard plants in natural way. First a weed control mat is applied to the ground, then the Plant guard is fixed around the plant with a wooden stake or a bamboo stick. The plant is protected by wind, animals, snow and rain fall.

When the plant grows the plant guard will be decomposed and add aeriation and fertilizer to the top soil

Coir balls/Cocodama

Coir ball is more than a 50% of a coir globe. It is made out of coir with little natural latex. Ideal for indoor planting for places such as balconies, verandahs. Also ideal for DIY concept, where the planting has to be done by the owner.

Normally the hanging plants are grown in coir ball. The jacket could be made out of natural strings such as coir, jute or synthetic strings such as pp. The plant is well aeriated and roots will develop through the porous wall of coir

Coco poles

Coco pole is a creeper support to grow around it, Coir is wrapped around a centre pole. Coir could be loose coir or rubberized coir and pole could be wooden or plastic. One end of the pole is pointed. Extendable poles are also available.

The high moisture retention capacity of the coco pole enables the roots of the plant to grip and grow stronger. Coco Pole can be used both outdoor and indoor. They can be made in different lengths and diameters

Bark Guards

A coir sheet of needled or rubberized, is supplied in rolls to wrap around the barks of the tree. The size is about 15cm x 1m for easy handling. The sheet is available with waves if needed.

The bark guard protect the bark from the bad weather, protect the bark being rubbed with another bark.

Bark guard is available in many shapes and colors according the customer requirement

Basket Liners

A coir sheet with or without latex is molded in to a half circle or a customized shape to grow plants. The coir basket liner is fixed in to a frame made out of iron, cane, jute or nylon. The complete pack is commonly used in in-door.

The basket liner is easy to install, suitable for hanging, wall mounting and standing structures. The liner is inserted in the the frame, fill the suitable potting mix into the basket liner and grow the plant in it.

Mulching mat

Mulching mat is produced with rubberized coir. It could be reign forced with coir geotextile as a backing. PP netting or other netting can be used to use as a backing depending on the application.

Mulching mat is ideal for wet lands. The mulching sheet is laid on the ground and fixed to the earth with stakes, if needed. Then plants are planted in the holes. The mulching sheet act as a weed controller and soil conditioner and erosion control device.

The mulching sheet is commonly available in 1mx10m sheets, but could be produced as per the customer requirement.

Bare blocks / Coir sleeping mattress fibre

Coir bare blocks / sleeping mattresses are produced with coir fibre and natural latex. We do supply the block for quilting. The density is varied according to the customer requirement, in addition to the different ratios of latex and coir fibre.

The coir bare blocks provide the natural comfort. Special blocks are available for babies, children and orthopedic blocks with higher densities

Coir Sheets

Coir fibre sheets are produced with mixing coir and latex. The density is varied according to the application of the final application.

Coir fibre sheets are used as spring cover sheets in the spring sleeping mattresses, as a carpet to lay on ice to improve the resistance (Ice mat), as a soil erosion control device.

The most common sizes are 1mx10m and 2mx20m, but customized sizes are available for different applications.

Why Coir Fibre

There are several categories of coir fibre depending on the extraction process, namely 1-tie, Oamtt and mattress fibre. The fibre strands have a very high lignin content surrounding the cell walls which give it high resistance in withstanding tension. Coir fibre is 100% natural and eco friendly and used in many industries such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Packaging, Bedding, Flooring and Insulation.
